For the fourth consecutive year, GMG are proud to be enrolling a new group of apprentices. So far, a total of 46 apprentices are either still on courses or have now qualified in Administration, Roof Tiling, Roughcasting and Joinery.
One of the many benefits of our large apprenticeship scheme is being able to assist the progression of our latest intake of young people to fully qualified trades practitioners.
Over the summer of 2019, two 15-year-old Skills Academy North Lanarkshire pupils from Airdrie, completed work experience with GMG on a day release basis, two days per week.
GMG first achieved Investors in Young People (IIYP) in 2014. This made GMG the first accredited Scottish Construction Company to do so. The following year, GMG became the first SME company in the UK to achieve IIYP Gold.
It was a successful evening for GMG Contractors Ltd and their apprentices at the annual South Lanarkshire College Construction Awards 2019 held at Hamilton Town Hall.
