GMG is proud to work within its local community and make a difference. That’s why we are excited to reveal our new video project ‘Changing lives in a changing world’.
The video uses exclusive drone footage and colleague interviews to provide an insight into what we do, who we are and how we are helping to change lives.
Our communities are at the heart of everything we do – including this campaign. Our drone footage gives a birds-eye view of many of our sites in North Lanarkshire, showing the extensive work we are carrying out to improve the communities in which we live and work.
The video outlines our core commitments to:
Our partnership with North Lanarkshire Council (NLC) involves whole house renovations to improve the lives of tenants in more than 550 homes, and will have many benefits – from reducing fuel poverty to saving the planet for future generations.
The project has improved the fabric of NLC’s estate, with reroofing, installing solar PV, cavity and external wall insulations, and re-rendering.
Building a better future doesn’t just mean constructing energy-efficient homes but providing career opportunities and progression for young people in the communities in which we work. Around 50% of the workforce working on our NLC Partnership live within local North Lanarkshire communities.
In the video, we shine a spotlight on Ben Cappie and Daniel Robertson, who both joined us as apprentices and are now working on the NLC partnership.
