Refurbishment work at Woodfarm High School was completed on target for East Renfrewshire Council and the local community.
As soon as pupils and staff clocked off for the summer holiday, a team of GMG roofing experts were on the Thornliebank site to refurbish the 500m2 roof.

These essential repairs involved stripping off the existing roof covering and insulations, completing a full inspection of the area, before installing the new waterproof roofing. The redundant roof lights were removed and the existing roof drains were inspected and cleaned.
The completed work ensures the school hall is weather-proofed ahead of the winter months.
The GMG site manager said: “We were delighted to complete the roof refurbishment on behalf of East Renfrewshire Council and enjoyed working with the local authority.
“GMG has extensive experience working in the education sector and the timing of this project was crucial. All work had to be finished in a timely manner ahead of pupils and staff returning to school.
“Our team remained on track with the tight programme, with all work carried out to the highest standard to provide a quality school building for pupils and staff.”
During the summer, a GMG team was also based at St Cadoc’s Primary in Newton Mearns on behalf of East Renfrewshire Council, carrying out flat roofing works after the building experienced water ingress.
