We want to wish our clients, long-standing and new, and our colleagues a very merry Christmas, a happy new year and best wishes for 2024.
Our team is looking ahead to another remarkable year with a number of contracts already secured for 2024, including Glasgow City Council and West Lothian Council.
The past year has been monumental in our efforts to create a better future for our people, our industry, and our planet. We’ve made great strides in our push for a greener, more sustainable future, having continued to upgrade our fleet to electric vehicles, and installed electric vehicle charging points at our main office. We have continued to ensure the energy efficiency of hundreds of properties across Scotland – helping families to stay warm over Christmas and reduce their heating bills significantly, assisting with fuel poverty struggles and the race to Net Zero.
We have also continued to support mental health in the workplace with our Listeners programme and being an advocate for challenging the stigma surrounding it, highlighting that there is still much to be done in the construction industry to support its workforce.
2023 was also our 15th consecutive year being recognised by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) for our dedication to safety, having been awarded its coveted Order of Distinction Award in Construction. This follows the 2022 President’s Award and we are delighted to see that our efforts in health and safety excellence are held in high regard on an international stage.
GMG is also an award-winning employer, having been recognised as an Investor in Young People for numerous years. We were delighted to see two members of our team graduate this year, with Quantity Surveyor Elis Cappie graduating with a Msc degree in Quantity Surveying and Matthew Sheridan achieving a Msc degree in Business Administration. Congratulations again to them both.
And so, 2023 was a fantastic year for our company, and it wouldn’t have been possible without all of you entrusting us and valuing our work. Thank you from all of us at team GMG, and best wishes for 2024.
