We are proud to be starting 2024 with news of a project completion.
Back in April 2023, we first announced our contract win with South Lanarkshire Council to refurbish properties in Kilncroft Terrace, Douglas. The houses received the full renovation works – re-roofing, re-rendering and the installation of cavity wall insulation, making the houses warmer and more energy efficient for residents and supporting the council’s sustainability goals.
Our experienced contractors drew on their expertise to accommodate pre-existing air source heat pumps which were already installed on the external walls, ensuring work was carried out with limited disruption.
The site team also undertook a training session on bat and bird safety, in association with South Lanarkshire Council and Applied Ecology, to further learn the correct procedures to follow should they discover any nests or animals on the properties. GMG continued to work closely with Applied Ecology for the duration of this project to ensure any animal inhabitants and their habitats were protected.
