At the start of this year, we announced another contract win with South Lanarkshire Council to upgrade a number of properties in East Kilbride. Now, we are pleased to have completed phase one of the refurbishment works.
The 30-week project, delivered in two phases, involves a variety of two, three and four storey flat blocks in the area. The properties have benefitted from GMG’s expertise in everything from roof tiling, decoration upgrades, roughcasting, roofline and rainwater goods improvements, and cavity wall insulation installation.
Besides improving the properties aesthetically, these refurbishments will improve the energy efficiency of residents’ homes, reducing their bills and in turn, alleviating some of the fuel poverty rates in the area. That being said, we look forward to commencing with phase two of this project to further deliver these benefits for tenants.
