We are now en route to an electric future.
In an exciting move to build a more sustainable way of working here at GMG, we are now in the process of upgrading our existing fleet of 50 vehicles to electric by 2025, with electric charging points already installed at our GMG head office in Baillieston.
There are a myriad of benefits to electric vehicles (EVs), including lower running costs than fuel-reliant vehicles, reduced noise pollution and, above all, no emissions. This last point was crucial to us as we can now ensure that when we carry out our essential work, we are doing so in the most sustainable way possible, reducing our carbon footprint and impact on the environment and acting on our responsibility to aid in the fight against climate change.
A GMG representative said: “The move to EVs is important to us as it means we will now be able to significantly reduce our carbon output. We are passionate about protecting the environment in which we not only work but live, and this change to an all-electric fleet is just one in a series of efforts we’ve made to do our bit to save the planet.”
There are, of course, other benefits to the acquisition of an all-electric fleet.
“There’s also been a lot of excitement in our office as our team have been having a lot of fun testing out the new vehicles, and are amazed by how smoothly they run, their virtual lack of noise and just generally how they make for a great driving experience!”
