A Sanctuary for Seafar residents

Published: 17 February 2023

We are delighted to have been awarded a contract with Graham and Sibbald (G&S) Consultants to upgrade a number of properties in Seafar, Cumbernauld.

The project will involve re-roofing works on various Sanctuary Scotland homes and sites throughout the town. Our team will also be involved in roof line replacement and rainwater goods.

Estimated at £600,000, the work began in January and is on schedule to be completed by July this year, and will involve upgrades to 53 properties.

A GMG representative said: “We have started the year in the best possible way – working with a great new client to improve homes for residents. The project in Cumbernauld will see us carrying out complete re-roofing works on more than 50 homes in Seafar, improving their energy efficiency and aesthetics.”

Sanctuary Scotland has more than 2,000 homes in Cumbernauld. The not-for-profit housing association was set up more than 50 years ago and provides housing and care in England and Scotland to more than a quarter of a million people.
