GMG’s specialist team was awarded a contract from South Lanarkshire Council to refurbish three blocks of properties in Kirkconnel Drive, Rutherglen. This included a large part of the estate which had been damaged by fire.
The project involved everything from stripping and replacing roof coverings and fascias, to remediation of fire damage and installing cavity wall insulation (CWI).
Residents will benefit from CWI systems during winter with their energy bills, and our team worked closely with the community and various stakeholders.
The programme of work was completed on time and within budget. The new rendering to the external walls will help protect the fabric of the building and future-proof it for years to come.
GMG was also entrusted by South Lanarkshire Council to complete two other important projects – including the transformation at Glebe Gardens and an upcoming project in Kilncroft Terrace in Douglas.
