GMG Strengthens Commitment to Innovation Through AI Leadership Programme

Published: 6 February 2026

GMG continues to demonstrate its forward-thinking approach to technology and innovation, with Matt Sheridan from the team attending an AI leadership event in London. The event forms part of a wider international learning initiative designed to help businesses better understand and adopt artificial intelligence in practical, commercially relevant ways.

GMG is one of a select group of organisations chosen to take part in the AI International Leadership Learning Journeys, delivered in partnership with Scottish Enterprise. The programme is hosted by Scottish Enterprise, Highlands and Islands Enterprise, South of Scotland Enterprise, The Data Lab and The Scottish AI Alliance, and is one of fourteen initiatives that make up the Scottish Government’s National AI Adoption Programme for SMEs.

As part of the programme, there was the opportunity to visit Scotland House London, Microsoft and Lovable to see how leading organisations are applying AI in real-world environments, as well as attend the AI & Big Data Expo

At Microsoft, the focus was on how AI is being integrated into everyday business tools and enterprise platforms to improve productivity, decision-making and automation at scale. The visit to Lovable provided insight into how emerging companies are building AI-driven products and services, offering a different perspective on speed, experimentation and innovation.

Attending the AI & Big Data Expo gave us the chance to explore the wider AI ecosystem, and to hear from industry leaders

These learning journeys bring together business leaders, technology specialists and innovators to explore how AI is being applied across different industries. By engaging directly with new ideas, emerging tools and real-world case studies, participating companies gain valuable insight into how technology is shaping the future of business.

For GMG, taking part reflects a clear commitment to continuous improvement and investment in knowledge. Staying up to date with the latest technological trends ensures the business remains agile, informed and ready to adopt new approaches that can enhance efficiency, quality and long-term growth.

As technology continues to evolve at pace, initiatives like this play an important role in helping organisations move beyond theory and into practical application. GMG’s participation highlights its determination to remain progressive, curious and open to new ways of working qualities that are increasingly essential in a rapidly changing business landscape.
