The Camelon Crescent project, completed in February 2025, successfully enhanced housing in Blantyre, South Lanarkshire. Commissioned by South Lanarkshire Council, this initiative upgraded five identical flatted blocks to improve energy efficiency, safety, and aesthetics.
The project involved extensive refurbishment and modernisation to improve the safety, comfort, and efficiency of the buildings. A major success of this project was its focus on carbon reduction through construction. Energy-efficient measures such as EWI, new heat retaining roofs, upgraded windows and doors contribute to lower heating demands and a reduced carbon footprint for residents. Despite the challenges of a winter schedule in the project, the team ensured that the site was cleared and disruption minimised during the Christmas break. Residents enjoyed a clean and safe environment throughout the festive period. The project met its timeline with thanks to the dedication and hard work of the entire team.
