Health and safety is, and always will be, our number one priority at GMG. We are delighted to announce this has been recognised by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) with their President’s award.
The RoSPA Awards are ‘one of the most prestigious and recognised schemes in the world’, with almost 2,000 entries every year, from nearly 50 countries and a reach of more than seven million employees. The award follows on from our 13 consecutive RoSPA Gold Medal awards and NFRC Safety in Roofing Gold Excellence.
We are committed to carrying out our work to the highest safety standards possible – ensuring the welfare of our workforce, contractors and the public. The President’s award recognises GMG’s long-standing commitment to safety at work, having operated safely for 14 years.
We will not stop here. GMG is dedicated to the continual development of our workforce, and will ensure all employees have up-to-date knowledge and regular training on their health and safety responsibilities.
Gerry McGinn, CEO of GMG Contractors Ltd, said: “Every single person has the right to make it home after a day at work. We are honoured to have been recognised by the RoSPA with their President’s award, as it recognises our long-standing commitment to health and safety as well as our determination to continue championing the values it represents as we move forward with our work.
“The safety of our workforce and the public are paramount to all that we do here, and I’m glad that this award recognises that fact and shows everyone that with us, your safety comes first.”
