GMG Contractors was founded in 1987 as a small, family-run business specialising in slating and plastering. Since then, our values of integrity, customer care and the highest working standards have helped us grow into a multi-trade principal contractor working with leading private house builders, national construction companies, social landlords and housing associations.
Family was at the heart of our formation and this dynamic has never faded. We now employ more than 100 people directly with 80 self-employed associates, of which 82% have been an integral part of the team for at least a decade.
We also have more than 25 apprentices, all of whom are carefully paired with experienced and seasoned tradespeople who can share their skills and maximise opportunities. Our investment in young talent, their progression and training for the future means we have a young workforce for our industry – a fact we are proud of and will continue to nurture.
Our dedicated team, ranging from apprentices to directors, is the foundation of our growing success. Each person boasts a wealth of skills, experience and ambition and we strive to support each of our employees in alignment with their individual goals and needs.
