GMG Contractors Commence St Leonard’s Fabric Upgrade Programme for South Lanarkshire Council

GMG Contractors is pleased to be delivering the St Leonard’s Fabric Upgrade Programme on behalf of South Lanarkshire Council, supporting the council’s continued investment in improving the energy efficiency, safety and long-term performance of its housing stock.

The programme will see 66 properties benefit from a comprehensive package of external fabric improvements designed to enhance thermal performance, modernise the homes and improve comfort for residents.

The scope of works includes:

• Replacement of existing roof tile coverings
• Removal of existing external cladding and insulation
• Installation of new insulation, fire cement board and HardiePlank cladding
• Installation of new triple-glazed uPVC windows and composite doors
• Installation of new 300mm loft insulation

This project forms part of South Lanarkshire Council’s wider investment of approximately £3 million into the St Leonard’s housing improvement programme, helping to create warmer, more energy-efficient homes while extending the lifespan of the properties.
