GMG has successfully secured a significant contract with North Lanarkshire Council to deliver a large-scale housing improvement programme across multiple residential areas, including Calderbank, Moodiesburn, Shotts, and Viewpark.The project forms part of NLC’s ongoing commitment to upgrading its housing stock and improving energy efficiency standards across 60 properties, following an initial pilot scheme.

Project Scope and Key Works

The programme will involve a comprehensive upgrade of a diverse range of property types, from bungalows to two-storey homes and apartments. Works will include:

  • Removal of existing external wall systems
  • Installation of new external wall insulation systems
  • Roof upgrades, including membrane replacement and insulation improvements
  • Structural alterations such as roofline extensions and chimney reductions
  • Replacement of doors and windows with modern triple-glazed units
  • Installation of inline PV’s
  • Renewal of rainwater goods
  • Associated structural checks, asbestos surveys, and service alterations

A standout feature of the project is the use of high-quality cladding materials, combining:
