Project Overview

GMG is proud to announce the successful completion of our latest refurbishment project in Forth, delivered on behalf of South Lanarkshire Council. Spanning seven months, the programme was part of the continued commitment to improving energy efficiency, comfort, and long-term sustainability.

The project focused on enhancing the overall thermal performance and aesthetic of the properties, providing residents with warmer, more energy-efficient homes while reducing long-term maintenance requirements.

Scope of Works

The works delivered by GMG included a comprehensive package of energy efficiency and carbon reduction through construction:

  • Installation of loft insulation to improve heat retention and reduce energy consumption.
  • Replacement of existing windows and doors, improving security, efficiency, and appearance.
  • Full re-roofing, incorporating roof ventilation systems to support improved airflow and reduce condensation risks.
  • Installation of a new roofline system.
  • Upgrading of rainwater goods for enhanced drainage performance.
  • Application of External Wall Insulation (EWI), significantly boosting the thermal efficiency of the homes while giving the properties a fresh new look.

All works were delivered to the highest standards of quality, health and safety, and environmental compliance, ensuring minimal disruption to residents throughout the duration of the project.

The completion of the Forth project marks another successful collaboration between GMG and South Lanarkshire Council, reinforcing our shared goal of creating energy-efficient, future-ready homes across the region. The improvements not only deliver immediate benefits to residents but also contribute to South Lanarkshire Council’s wider carbon reduction and housing improvement objectives.
