Lochside Project Complete – A Green Transformation

Project Overview

We are pleased to report that the comprehensive refurbishment of the Lochside project, undertaken in partnership with the Energy Agency and South Ayrshire Council, is now complete. This initiative has delivered significant improvements to 170 properties, transforming homes and enhancing the community.

Scope of works

The project has had a major environmental impact, saving approximately 75,000 kg of CO2 per year. This was achieved through a range of energy efficiency measures, including the installation of external wall insulation (EWI) and cavity wall insulation (CWI).

Beyond insulation, the refurbishment included several other key upgrades:

• New roofs and rooflines were installed to ensure long-term protection and durability.
• Gas extensions and updated extractor fans were fitted, improving safety and ventilation.
• All associated gas, electrical, and joinery works were successfully completed by our skilled tradespeople.
• These retrofitting efforts have resulted in warmer, more energy-efficient homes for residents and are expected to deliver long-term savings on energy bills.
